VRA JHS NO. 2 WINS BEST SCHOOL IN AKOSOMBO



 


The Volta River Authority (VRA) is noted of being the major producer of Electric power to households and industries in Ghana

 

As part of its Social Responsibilities has built and renovated school buildings in Akosombo and all Resettlement communities within their catchment areas

 

A subcommittee instituted by (VRA) to oversee performance of schools within Akosombo, organized a stakeholders meeting with the Asuogyaman District Education Directorate, Teachers and Parents, where discussions were held on how to improve Academic Excellence in Akosombo township, at the Presbyterian Church of Ghana,  Rev F. Monninger Congregation, Akosombo on July 28,2022.

 

All stakeholders were reminded of their responsibilities to make the future leaders actualise their dreams by Representatives from the Akosombo Management Committee.

 

To ice the cake, VRA rewarded the Best performing school and Teachers in terms of BECE performance over the years at the meeting, with Cash rewards.

 

Parents,Old students, Teaching  and non Teaching staff of Akosombo VRA JHS No. 2 who were present were so excited as they swept every award slated for the day.

The awards for the day include;

1. Best Students in the BECE

2. Best Performing Teachers

The Overall best Teacher, Ms. Selphidia Gabah(in Gnat cloth)

3. Best Performing School

 

Speaking on behalf of the Teachers and Students of VRA JHS No2, Ms Kisiwa Ayeh promised to keep up the standard so they will take the next years award.
