Madam Mercy Amo Darkoah(Obuor), the NPP Eastern Regional Women Organizer hopeful, an educationist, who doubles as the Headmistress for Hark Mt. Sinai SHS wishes all B.E.C.E. candidates good luck as the Commence their examination today.


A total of 571,894 pupils from across the country embark on their first external examination today. In an interview with kingsnewsghana.com, the experienced teacher said these words to the pupils "As you journey today to make a mark in accounting for 9 years of academic excellence, my wish is for God to give you retentive memories to recollect all you've  learnt and also be courageous and make your teachers and parents proud."

She used the opportunity to appreciate all the efforts made by both teacher and parents in helping these young ones attain the highest academic excellence. "Good luck to all 571,984 candidates  especially, those in the Eastern region.The future is yours for the taken.Let's do this, my children"  she added.

In fulfilment of his promise, Paul Asare Ansah, Technical Advisor to the Minister of Transport has taken up the entire budget of GHC9,000 for the grand finale of this year's Inter Circuit Spelling Competition for Junior High and primary schools in Asuogyaman. Presenting the amount to the District Director of Education, Mr. Ansah hinted that the donation was part of the 2019 sponsorship package provided by him to help improve the standard of education in the district. The event which takes place at the Church of Pentecost, Atimpoku on 4th June, 2019 will produce a "spellaking or queen" to represent Asuogyaman at the regional level. MAN WITH MENTAL DISORDER GETS HELP

 "I have been walking every morning with my friend on the Burma Camp road for the past 5 - 6 years. In the past year, we always saw this “mental patient“every day lying opposite Chains Homes in the morning. We always discussed him but none of us took any action. Three months ago, my friend, who is very spiritual, told me he didn’t feel right and couldn’t sleep and that he had to do something about the situation. I thought he was joking so I wished him GOOD LUCK.  The next day whilst we were on our walk, he told me he had arranged for the man to be taken to the psychiatric hospital at Assylum Down.  Fast Forward to 13th October 2021, we were called that the man is due for discharge and that he had been cured.  All his bills have been settled and arrangements are been made to send him home for integration into his family.  When I saw the man, I couldn’t hold back my tears. VRA JHS NO. 2 WINS BEST SCHOOL IN AKOSOMBO

  The Volta River Authority (VRA) is noted of being the major producer of Electric power to households and industries in Ghana   As part of its Social Responsibilities has built and renovated school buildings in Akosombo and all Resettlement communities within their catchment areas   A subcommittee instituted by (VRA) to oversee performance of schools within Akosombo, organized a stakeholders meeting with the Asuogyaman District Education Directorate, Teachers and Parents, where discussions were held on how to improve Academic Excellence in Akosombo township, at the Presbyterian Church of Ghana,  Rev F.
